Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Furl's edge routing infrastructure, dashboard, and all associated services. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing the Furl dashboard, configuring DNS records to point at Furl's infrastructure, or otherwise using any service offered by Furl, Inc. ("Furl", "we", "us", or "our"), you ("Customer", "you", or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you are using Furl on behalf of a team, company, or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not have that authority, or if you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the service.
These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including team members invited to a workspace, API key holders, and anyone accessing the service programmatically.
Service Description
Furl is a cloud-based edge routing platform that allows customers to proxy custom domains to third-party platforms and services — including but not limited to Webflow, Framer, WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix. Advanced custom-origin support may be offered on a best-effort basis when enabled for your account, and can require upstream configuration.
The service includes the following capabilities, subject to your active subscription plan:
- Routes (subfolder proxying): Route paths (e.g. /blog, /docs, /shop) on your custom domain to any external origin server.
- Redirect rules: Define 301 and 302 redirect rules with wildcard, named parameter, and regex pattern support.
- DNS verification: Automated DNS record checking and domain status monitoring on a 5-minute interval.
- A/B traffic splitting: Divide incoming traffic between two origin URLs with configurable weight, cookie-based sticky sessions, and statistical confidence scoring using a two-proportion z-test.
- Edge analytics: Privacy-preserving visitor analytics collected at the network edge via Cloudflare Analytics Engine, without JavaScript or cookies on your visitors' browsers.
- Static file serving: Upload and serve static files (e.g. verification files, robots.txt overrides) from a path on your domain via Cloudflare R2.
- Team collaboration: Invite team members with role-based access (Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer).
- API access: Programmatic management of routing configuration via tRPC procedures and API key authentication.
- Webhook delivery: Event-driven notifications for domain verification, A/B test winner declarations, and configuration changes.
Furl operates on Cloudflare's global network, spanning 260+ edge locations worldwide, and uses Cloudflare D1, KV, R2, and Analytics Engine as infrastructure primitives. Configuration changes propagate to the edge within approximately 1 second of saving.
Accounts & Teams
To use Furl, you must register for an account using a valid email address via email OTP or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Accounts can access Furl in two modes: a full workspace owner account, or a collaborator account joined through an invite. Team invitations are sent by email and currently expire after 7 days. Team roles carry the following permissions:
- Owner: Full access, including billing, team deletion, and all configuration.
- Admin: All configuration access. Cannot delete the team. Billing remains owner-only.
- Editor: Can create, update, and delete routing rules, domains, and A/B tests. Cannot manage team members or billing.
- Viewer: Read-only access to all configuration and analytics.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current account information. Furl reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where information is found to be inaccurate, false, or used to impersonate another party.
You may not share API keys across unrelated teams or organizations. Each API key is scoped to a single team. API keys must be stored securely; Furl displays plaintext keys exactly once upon creation and stores only a SHA-256 hash thereafter.
Plans & Billing
Furl offers four subscription tiers. All plans include automatic SSL provisioning, edge caching, and access to the Furl dashboard. Requests are counted as inbound HTTP/HTTPS requests proxied by Furl on your behalf.
Annual plans are billed as a single upfront charge at the start of the subscription period. Monthly plans are billed in advance on the same date each calendar month.
Subscriptions are billed via Polar. By providing a payment method, you authorise Furl to charge your card on the applicable billing cycle date. All prices are in USD and exclusive of applicable taxes. Where VAT, GST, or similar consumption taxes apply, they will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
If your account exceeds its included request volume in any given billing period, Furl will notify you by email and may throttle traffic or prompt an upgrade. Overage pricing, where applicable, will be communicated in advance and will not be applied retroactively without notice.
Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated against your remaining billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no partial refund is issued for the downgraded portion. Annual plan downgrades or cancellations do not entitle the subscriber to a refund for unused months, except where required by applicable law.
Furl reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' written notice to existing subscribers. Price changes will not apply until the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period. Continued use of the service after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Acceptable Use
Furl's infrastructure is shared and must be used responsibly. You agree that you will not use the service to:
- Proxy content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of your visitors, including but not limited to CSAM, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, or content that facilitates violence.
- Route traffic to origins hosting malware, phishing pages, spyware, or other malicious software.
- Circumvent access controls, engage in credential stuffing, or conduct denial-of-service attacks against any origin or third-party infrastructure.
- Violate the terms of service of any upstream platform (Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, etc.) using Furl as a proxy layer to bypass those platforms' restrictions.
- Resell access to the Furl proxy layer as a standalone infrastructure product without prior written agreement (white-label use is available on the Agency plan for branded portal access, login/invite flows, and collaborator shell branding).
- Use Furl to serve or proxy content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Artificially inflate request counts or analytics metrics to misrepresent traffic volumes.
Furl may investigate suspected violations and, at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activity without prior notice where urgent action is required to protect the platform or other customers.
DNS & Custom Domains
To use Furl with a custom domain, you must add DNS records as directed in the dashboard. By pointing your domain's DNS to Furl's infrastructure (including our Cloudflare proxy IP and CNAME records), you authorize Furl to handle HTTP and HTTPS traffic for that domain and to provision TLS/SSL certificates on your behalf via Cloudflare for SaaS.
You retain full ownership of your domain. Furl does not acquire any right, title, or interest in your domain name. You may point your DNS away from Furl at any time, which will remove Furl's ability to serve traffic for that domain within DNS propagation time (typically minutes to 48 hours depending on TTL settings).
Furl checks DNS records every 5 minutes for pending and errored domains. Domain verification status is not guaranteed to be instantaneous. Furl is not responsible for delays caused by DNS propagation or your domain registrar's caching behavior.
SSL certificates are provisioned automatically upon domain verification. Furl uses Cloudflare's certificate infrastructure; certificates are renewed automatically and do not require any action from you. Furl does not provide certificates for use outside its proxy infrastructure.
Data & Analytics
Furl collects edge analytics data from traffic passing through your configured domains. This includes anonymized visitor counts, page views, device types, country-level geolocation, referrer sources, and UTM parameters. Visitor identification is performed by hashing IP address and User-Agent with a daily salt, meaning the hash resets every 24 hours and cannot be used to track individuals across sessions or days.
Furl does not set cookies on your visitors' browsers for analytics purposes. No third-party tracking scripts are injected into proxied content.
Analytics data is stored in Cloudflare Analytics Engine under your domain workspace identifier and is queryable only by authenticated members of your team. Furl uses aggregated, anonymized analytics data across all customers to monitor platform health and capacity — no individual customer's traffic patterns are shared with other customers.
Configuration data (routes, domains, redirects, team members, billing information) is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) databases in Cloudflare's infrastructure. Route configuration is cached in Cloudflare KV for low-latency access during request handling. Static files you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage.
You are the data controller for any personal data belonging to your end users that passes through Furl's proxy infrastructure. Furl acts as a data processor in this context. We do not access, analyze, or retain the body content of proxied requests beyond what is necessary to route and forward them.
Intellectual Property
Furl and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in the Furl platform, including the dashboard, proxy worker code, routing algorithms, analytics pipeline, and all associated documentation, trademarks, and trade dress. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Furl platform.
You retain all ownership rights in your domains, your routing configuration, the content served through your origins, and any data you upload to Furl (including static files). By using the service, you grant Furl a limited, non-exclusive license to store, cache, transmit, and process your configuration and files solely to the extent necessary to provide the service.
Feedback, suggestions, or feature requests you submit to Furl may be used by Furl without restriction or compensation. Furl is not obligated to implement any feedback.
Availability & SLA
Furl targets 99.99% monthly uptime for the proxy layer, measured as the percentage of minutes in a calendar month during which the proxy correctly routes requests for verified, active domains. This target is aspirational for Starter plan customers; Agency plan customers receive a contractual SLA with defined remedies.
Uptime does not include:
- Downtime caused by your origin server being unreachable or returning errors.
- Scheduled maintenance communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
- Incidents caused by third-party infrastructure outside Furl's control (including Cloudflare network events, DNS registrar outages, or upstream platform failures).
- Downtime resulting from your misconfiguration of DNS records or route rules.
In the event of an outage, Furl will publish a status update at our status page within 30 minutes of detection. Post-incident reports are published within 72 hours for incidents lasting longer than 30 minutes.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from the Settings → Danger Zone section of the dashboard. Termination takes effect immediately. Upon termination, your routing configuration is deleted, your domains are removed from the Furl proxy network (which may take up to 24 hours for full propagation), and your analytics data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
Furl may suspend your account immediately if you are found to be in material breach of these Terms, including non-payment of subscription fees, violation of the Acceptable Use policy, or fraudulent activity. Furl will attempt to provide 7 days' written notice for non-urgent suspensions.
Furl may discontinue the service with 90 days' written notice to all active customers. In such a case, pro-rated refunds for prepaid subscription periods will be issued.
Sections covering Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law survive termination.
Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." FURL MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FURL'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO FURL IN THE THREE MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
FURL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR REPUTATION, EVEN IF FURL HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of implied warranties or liability for incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
Changes to Terms
Furl may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes — defined as changes that reduce your rights or increase your obligations — Furl will notify you by email to your account address at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
For non-material changes (such as clarifications, corrections, or additions that expand your rights), updated Terms will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the service and may cancel your subscription before the effective date for a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of your current billing period.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
